Terms of Service for Custom Designs
By submitting a design request or purchasing the initial design fee, the Client accepts these terms of service.
Client must first submit a Custom Design Request Form. The designer will accept design concepts that she feels confident in creating.
Having a design consultation does guarantee that designer & client work together. Either party may change their mind.
In order to begin concept work with the designer, a design deposit of $150 must be paid.
The $150 initial design fee covers up to two 30-minute consultations & 3 hours of design work. This fee is non-refundable & will be applied towards the Client’s final quote.
The designer will work closely with the Client to fulfill the design concept as agreed. The designer will inform & support the Client through the design process to the best of their abilities.
If the concept design time extends beyond the 3 included hours, the designer may be hired for additional time at a rate of $50/ hour.
The designer holds the right to cap the concept design time offered, at any point in time.
If the Client excessively changes ideas for the project at hand, or fails to narrow in on an option after a reasonable amount of time, the designer has the right to conclude the project at hand. The Client may then decide to proceed with a design concept that has been presented, or decline to proceed.
Should the Client decline to proceed with the jewelry design, the non-refundable design deposit & any additional design hours purchased will be forfeited and may not be applied towards another product or service.
Once the Client has decided on a design, the designer will prepare an estimate.
To start the production process, the Client is to pay 50% of the remaining balance (minus the $150 design deposit). This deposit is non-refundable.
If unique materials or stones are being sourced, the Client should pay deposit immediately to ensure their availability. If materials have sold before the designer can purchase, we will need to source a new gemstone. Additional design time may be required if materials are rare & significant time is spent with sourcing.
The Client understands the timeline for custom work often varies & deadlines will remain tentative. The Client will be given estimated dates once production begins.
In order for us to work well together, the Client agrees to communicate as quickly as possible.
The designer will do her best to meet deadlines & will finish the custom creation to the best of her abilities.
Client agrees to make final payment within 5 business days of the project completion.
The Client may choose to pick up their custom jewelry in person or have it shipped.
Shipping with insurance is calculated separately.
Due to the customized nature of this work, custom jewelry is non-returnable and non-refundable.
